Hello! Thanks for dropping by! Above is a list of education and certifications, the list represents my learning history and says a bit about what I am interested in. What the list doesn't capture is the fact that I deeply love my 4 kiddos, that I adore corny jokes, especially corny jokes about time and relativity, that I spend a lot of time reading and playing basketball, that I get a sense of meaning and purpose from learning how to live a healthier, physically and mentally, life, and sharing that knowledge with others.

I have been helping people make lasting changes in their health and fitness since 1997. I care deeply about health and I believe it is everyone's birthright to live a  long, healthy life full of purpose and meaning.

If you are the kind of person who cares about having the health and fitness to do what you want in life, maybe we will work together. Being healthy, physically and mentally, is freedom. It gives me great joy to help people make choices that allow them to regain their freedom.  I work with people who want to maximally engage with life and help them make nutrition, fitness, and lifestyle choices that nourish their well-being and dramatically improve their quality of life.

In addition to exercise and nutrition science I spend a fair amount of time studying Psychological Flexibility via Functional Contextual Behaviorism and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy/Training. We all have a unique inner experience of life. Psychological Flexibility allows us to contact that inner experience of life, with all its joys and pains, what Jon Kabat-Zinn calls the full catastrophe of living, and more consistently move toward who and what is important to us.

Did you see the picture of the person in the redish/pinkish shirt? That is a picture of me and it looks exactly like me on the particular day the picture was taken. I don't look like that all the time but the picture does a good enough job at representing my current physical manifestation to be useful.

In addition to personal training and lifestyle coaching, I am available to present on a variety of fitness and wellness topics.
